Memphis Prepares for Mississippi’s Record Crest
The Mississippi River is expected to crest at 48-feet in Memphis, Tennessee Monday night, and the river has already swelled to six times its normal width. Residents spent the weekend sandbagging and police went door-to-door asking people to evacuate their homes. At least one thousand people have abandoned their houses.
