Reports of a stabbing at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pa., has left six to as many as 20 people injured. According to the reports, a male student entered the school, about 20 miles from Pittsburgh, before classes started on Wednesday morning and began attacking people with a knife.

A statement posted on the school district’s website said the high school campus was locked down immediately after the incident and students were evacuated to a nearby middle school.

The students’ conditions seem to be non-life threatening,” said Dan Stevens, deputy emergency management coordinator for the Westmoreland County. “It’s important that parents realize the scene is contained, the students that are here are safe.”

WTAE Pittsburgh reports that police have a suspect in custody. The suspect has yet to be publicly identified.
