D.C. residents and tourists were greeted with barricades around numerous locations on the National Mall this morning. The Lincoln Memorial and other national monuments in Washington were blocked off as of midnight last night when Congress failed to pass a budget. National Parks all across the United States will be closed to the public during the length of the government shutdown.
