“Preserving Justice” to air on APTV
1963 marked the beginning of The Birmingham Campaign, one of the most influential movements of the Civil Rights Era.
In honor of its 50th anniversary this year, Alabama Public Television will be airing “Preserving Justice” on Sunday, October 13th at 6:00 PM (CDT). “Preserving Justice focuses” on the events of the Civil Rights Movement in Birmingham, Alabama, and on the key activists and members of the Birmingham legal community who played a part in it.
The documentary is a joint project of the Birmingham Bar Foundation, the Magic City Bar Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association and is also a part of the Journey for Justice Project, which is devoted to honoring and educating the public about the role that members of Birmingham’s legal system played during the Civil Rights Era.
