The Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Subcommittee in the House of Representatives announced Thursday that representatives from Target will testify before Congress in the first week of February about the data breach.

“Consumers deserve to know what information has been taken and the potential threats that exist,” said subcommittee Chairman Lee Terry, R-Neb.

Representatives from Target will testify alongside law enforcement officials. Earlier this week, Senator Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., also demanded that Target provide answers about the data breach that affected millions of Americans.
