Tax Day Town Hall Meeting With Romer, Martinez: Ask Your Questions

BY Dave Gustafson   April 9, 2010 at 7:34 PM EST

We want you to be part of a town hall meeting we’re hosting in Tampa — regardless of whether you happen to live in Florida or not.

Judy Woodruff is hosting the event as part of our “Spotlight City” reporting series with featured guests Christina Romer, chair of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, and former Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., among others.

All week in Tampa, we’re exploring what Americans think about their government and we’d like your questions on spending, politics, the economy and related topics important to your community.

Learn more here:

Submit your question or video via Google Moderator by 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 14. Just click “submit a question” to get started. You can also vote on other questions that have been submitted. And let your friends know by clicking the “share” button.

Some of the best questions could appear on our air on April 15 or even sooner on our Web site. We’ll have live coverage of the event on newshour.pbs.org and Twitter. We’ll also post video on our YouTube channel.

We’re encouraging Florida residents as well as those in other states to participate. But, if you’re going to be in the Tampa area on April 14, and you’d like to be part of the event in person, head to WEDU.org for details.
