On the first day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
furlough for fed employees.

On the second day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees. On the third day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the fourth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the fifth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the sixth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
angry World War II vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the seventh day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the eighth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
president’s patience tested,
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the ninth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
approval ratings dropping,
president’s patience tested,
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the tenth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
potential deals a-brewing,
approval ratings droppping,
president’s patience tested,
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the eleventh day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
‘Ohio Clock’ stops ticking,
potential deals a-brewing,
approval ratings dropping,
president’s patience tested,
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.

On the twelfth day of shutdown
my government gave to me:
a reason to write this melody,
‘Ohio Clock’ stops ticking,
potential deals a-brewing,
approval ratings droppping,
president’s patience tested,
no negotiations,
angry WWII vets,
dark panda cam,
no tweets from space,
three factions fighting,
a closed Yosemite
and furlough for fed employees.
