The Doubleheader: Shields, Brooks on Anita Hill’s Voicemail and NFL Tackling

Syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times columnist David Brooks stopped by the newsroom for yet another edition of The Doubleheader. We talked about Anita Hill and the latest developments in a saga that began, oh so many years ago. Virginia Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, left Hill a message this week seeking an apology for Hill’s testimony at her husband’s confirmation hearings in 1991.

We also talk about the new guidelines in the NFL designed to eliminate hits and tackles where helmets turn into weapons. The videos on the NFL site load horribly slowly, but if you want to see the hits in question YouTube has the devastating hits on the Eagles and Browns players last weekend.
