Today in history: Voyager snaps first ever photo of Earth with the moon

On this day in 1977, Voyager 1, a NASA-launched spacecraft, took the first photo of the Earth and moon together in a single frame.

Thirty-six years later, Voyager 1 became the first manmade object to ever reach interstellar space.
