Pew Poll: Trust in Government Plunges

Whether the measure is how people feel about their lawmakers, how they feel about the efficiency of government agencies, or simply whether or not the government has a positive or negative impact on their day-to-day lives, the numbers from the latest poll at the Pew Research Center don’t bode well for elected officials.

According to the survey, these negative sentiments are not merely a reaction to the long drawn out battle over health care legislation, nor is it purely a case of the party out of power and their dissatisfaction, there are multiple factors that produce discontent and rancor.
