The American Dream has meant many things to many people, but now more than ever that dream is changing. For millennials, so many of whom are struggling to pay back student loans or just find a job, the American Dream is increasingly something different than the 9 to 5 job. For seniors thinking about retiring the American Dream may be being able to live in their own homes as they age instead of moving to a retirement home.

This week during #NewsHourChats, NewsHour, in partnership with the Urban Institute, is exploring the new American Dream. On Thursday, Oct. 24, at 1 p.m. EDT we will discuss the definition of the American Dream and how it differs from that of previous generations, if the ideal job is still the 9 to 5, how important owning a home is to accomplishing the Dream and more. Join the conversation by following @NewsHour and @urbaninstitute and using the #NewsHourChats or by watching below.
