NewsHour Political Editor David Chalian makes one of his first appearances here on the Rundown Tuesday, to break down what he thinks will be on the agenda for Congress ahead of their summer break and the turn into full mid-term election mode.

Anyone know the phrase “It’s the economy stupid?” Well, Chalian agrees that money matters, in terms of financial regulation reform as well extension of unemployment benefits and war funding. As a side note, if we seem like we’ve done this before, it is because we have. We were both at ABC NEWS and I’d often have on-camera chats with him about what else, but politics. Good to be working with him again.
