Transcript: President George H.W. Bush's campaign and debates were complicated by two factors -- first, a savvy younger Democrat from Arkansas named Bill Clinton and second by an eccentric tycoon and government reformer named Ross Perot. President Bush, who had successfully seen the country through the first Gulf War and guided international policy during the collapse of the Soviet Union, saw the campaign focus almost entirely on domestic economic concerns and the debates appeared to frustrate the experienced president.
