    An asteroid the size of three football fields is expected to zip by Earth at a close, but safe distance on Monday.

    Traveling at 27,000 mph, the celestial object 2000 EM26 will be approximately 2 million miles from the Earth’s surface at its closest approach, Space.com reports. The asteroid is also nearly 885 feet in diameter. Continue reading
