The CBO's projected cost of Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus' plan came in $71 billion below Mr. Obama's $900 billion goal, likely clearing the way for committee approval and an eventual debate on the Senate floor. Yet significant challenges stand in the way of the reform effort.

NewsHour correspondent Betty Ann Bowser discusses the week's health reform news - including GOP opposition to the Baucus plan and why some Democrats on the committee are reserving judgment on the bill -- and looks ahead at what to watch next week.
