NewsHour deputy foreign affairs and defense editor Dan Sagalyn traveled to Indonesia in May 2011 with the International Reporting Project to learn more about the Southeast Asian country — the world’s fourth most populous nation — and the issues it faces today. Sagalyn also reported on Indonesia’s pervasive corruption and the effects it’s having on the country, and how Indonesians viewed the death of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
