Gephardt Bows out of Campaign, Retires From Politics

Rep. Richard Gephardt, D-Mo., said Tuesday he will drop out of the Democratic presidential race, bringing to a close his 30-year career in politics at the end of his current congressional term. Gephardt's decision comes the day after he finished fourth in the Iowa caucuses. (01/20/04)

Biography
