Vice President Dick Cheney and Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, Mass., campaigned in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Kerry appeared at a Steamfitters' Union Hall, and Cheney spoke to supporters at a rally in Pottsville.

A new federal law making sweeping changes to who receives overtime benefits went into effect Monday. While critics like John Kerry's running mate John Edwards have said that more workers will be exempt from overtime under the new regulations, the Department of Labor says otherwise.
