Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry, Mass., criticized President Bush Monday over his handling of the war in Iraq. "In Iraq, this administration has consistently over-promised and under-performed," Senator Kerry said. "This policy has been plagued by a lack of planning, an absence of candor, arrogance and outright incompetence."

President Bush responded to the senator's remarks at a town meeting in New Hampshire Monday. The president said those who said Saddam Hussein did not have to be confronted were "naive to the point of grave danger."
