Concede Defeat in Virginia, Montana Senate Races
|
 |
Two days after voters went to the polls and handed
hair's breadth wins to their opponents, Republican
Sens. George Allen of Virginia and Conrad Burns
of Montana conceded defeat.
The narrow victories of former Navy Secretary
James Webb in Virginia and state Sen. Jon Tester
in Montana mean Democrats secured 51 Senate seats
and the majority in the upcoming 110th Congress.
