Richardson Skates into Third Place in Two States' Polls

New polls ranking the Democratic candidates show New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson pulling ahead of former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards in New Hampshire and Arizona for the first time.
The good vibes in New Hampshire continued with Richardson securing endorsements by four state representatives this week, not to mention the president of the state’s Franco-American Centre.
With the release of another new television ad, this one looking at the governor’s energy plan, Richardson continues to be one of the most prolific candidates on air. He also promised to announce his Cabinet choices before the 2008 elections and said that he would include independents, Republicans and Democrats.
“Don’t worry, I won’t overdo the Republicans,” Richardson said in a speech at Dartmouth College. “It would be taken from America, not from the Beltway.”
He is campaigning in Iowa on Friday and plans to jet to Chicago for the YearlyKos Presidential Leadership Forum on Saturday and return on Tuesday for the AFL-CIO Forum. He intends to spend the rest of next week in New Hampshire and California.
