Kucinich Promotes Book, Talks Marriage
Email This

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Tuesday night to promote his autobiography “The Courage to Survive.” Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich's anniversary photo; Credti: Kucinich for President

The Democratic presidential hopeful talked about a painful past, growing up in 21 different places by the time he was 17 years old.

While the biography, which will be released in November, chronicles many somber aspects of Kucinich’s life, Leno’s interview was enlivened by the topic of Kucinich’s marriage to the younger — and taller — Elizabeth.

“I met your wife,” Leno told the congressman, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “You must have some quality not immediately visible to the rest of the audience.”

Kucinich’s reply: “People want their president to be decisive and right.”

After a weekend of campaigning in Northern California coastal towns, such as San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, Kucinich returns to the East Coast for MSNBC’s Democratic debate held at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported on some criticism directed Kucinich’s way. According to an AP story posted on Toledo’s local station WTOL 11 Web site, the Democratic mayor of Brook Park and the Republican mayor of Bay Village say the campaign is distracting Kucinich from his day job, while Cleveland Councilman Jay Westbrook reportedly said Kucinich’s staff can handle most matters.

That is a hillarious picture, hhahahaha. She is very pretty, but in a slightly scary, clutching way. Vampirish pale too, I can almost imagine the canines on that woman.

Hey Andrew,

How about you post your pic so we can all take pot-shots at you?

Now Dave, I didn't meet to offend, if you have a sweet spot for the lady. Admit it--its a creepy picture.

Here I am, eating strawberries. Pot shot away.
