A new poll out in Iowa shows little progress for Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., with less than a month to go before the caucuses. According to a survey released this weekend by the Des Moines Register, Dodd was the preferred candidate of 1 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers. Dodd’s level of support was unchanged from a previous poll conducted by the Register in early October.
Dodd hopes the endorsement he received from the International Association of Fire Fighters back in August will begin to pay dividends as the Jan. 3 caucus nears. Some of the union’s members are in the midst of a 20-city Iowa bus trip in support of his candidacy.
The IAFF has produced a video of the trip:
The Dodd campaign will continue to focus its efforts in Iowa over the coming week with a series of town hall events planned in six cities, including Boone, Pella, Oskaloosa, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids and Davenport.
