Clinton Projected Winner in Nevada Caucuses

Sen. Hillary Clinton is projected to win Saturday’s hotly contested Nevada Democratic caucuses, the Associated Press and major news organizations reported — despite key union endorsements going to Sen. Barack Obama in the state.

Clinton’s campaign will enjoy momentum from successive wins in New Hampshire and Nevada headed into next weekend’s South Carolina Democratic primary.
With more than half of the Democratic caucus results in, Clinton had 52 percent of the vote to Obama’s 45 percent, again overcoming earlier poll numbers.
Former Sen. John Edwards’s tally was just 4 percent.
Clinton is scheduled to appear with voters in Las Vegas late Saturday afternoon.
