McCain Wins in Oklahoma and Arizona; Romney in Utah
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., bested former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to win Oklahoma’s Republican primary and secure most of the state’s 38 delegates, reported the Associated Press.
McCain also scooped up 53 delegates in Arizona, where a victory in his home state was expected.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney left his competitors in the dust in Utah, taking all 36 delegates, according to the AP.
Romney celebrated his wins in Michigan, Massachusetts and Utah in a speech in Boston, telling a cheering crowd: “One thing that’s clear is this campaign is going on. … We’re going to win this thing and we’re going to go all the way to the White House.”
