U.K. Newspapers Ask: Does Britain Care About Feb. 5?
Email This

For some British perspective on the presidential race, the Guardian and the Times have been covering the candidates and the issues both for readers here and across the Atlantic. The commentary and writing have added a certain “colour” to following the race.

The Times asks a critical question about Super Tuesday: Does Britain Care? The answer might be surprising; the race has one woman in London “regretting the fact that those people was ever given independence,” the Times reported.

Crikey!

Over at the Guardian, Sean Michaels asks: Who are American musicians supporting on Super Tuesday?

Turns out, there isn’t much musical support for the Republican candidates. Plus, that support skews a little old. Example: Singer Pat Boone supports former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Here’s how the endorsements break down: Ted Nugent plays the axe for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; Burt Bacharach croons for Arizona Sen. John McCain; Krist Novoselic plays bass for Texas Rep. Ron Paul; and Donny and Marie Osmond do what they do for Romney.
