Vote 2008THE PRIMARIES
BACKGROUND REPORT Posted: May 4, 2007
California Democrats Speak Out on Candidates

The California Democratic Party held its state convention in San Diego April 27-29, giving the party's 2008 presidential candidates the opportunity to make their case in the Golden State. After California moved its primary earlier to Feb. 5, 2008, the state became an important staging ground for fund-raising and vote-collecting. Convention attendees explain who they support and why.

Narrated by Mike Davis, Bob Handy, Michele Hutchins, David Buchanan,
