McCain Has One Word for Obama: 'Congratulations'

By Maureen Hoch on August 28, 2008

Hours before Sen. Barack Obama was due to deliver his acceptance speech in front of thousands at Denver’s Invesco Field, GOP Sen. John McCain posted a video on his Web site congratulating Obama on his historic nomination.

“How perfect that your nomination would come on this historic day,” McCain says in the video. “Tomorrow, we’ll be back at it. But tonight senator, job well done.”

Meanwhile, McCain is generating his own buzz as speculation flies over his choice for running mate. News agencies reported Thursday that McCain had made his vice-presidential candidate pick and would appear with the person at a rally in Dayton, Ohio on Friday morning.

Michael Howard : Your "congratulations" does NOT even sound sincere what so ever and you are such a hypocrite and it is showing more and more every day. Please do AMERICA a favor and step aside and let OBAMA/BIDEN fix the past 8 year of mistakes made by the republican party by not only your friend/buddy George W. Bush, but YOU as well for voting many times to encourage this behavior and get it in the mess that we all are now experiencing. If YOU get elected, we will go no plus but south, and further into recession.

Terry : The world awaits a peaceful man who is not white, not black but even handed in all things. Bring equanimity and make history.
