As Expected, Obama Wins Vermont, McCain Scores Kentucky

Sen. John McCain is projected to win Kentucky and Sen. Barack Obama is projected to win Vermont, the Associated Press has reported.

Both candidates were expected to win these states. McCain will pick up eight electoral votes, while Sen. Obama will nab three.

According to the AP’s exit polling, six in 10 voters said the economy was their top issue. One in 10 said energy, Iraq, terrorism and health care was their top issue.

    Thomas W. Colbrese : Has there been enough voting machines in minority precincts? Has there been voter harassment like in 2004? What has been done today so far to protect the vote for these people? Are voting machines flipping votes like they did in previous elections? Are youse going to interview Mr. Conyers, professor Fitrakis, and professor Mark Miller tonight or tomorrow? I hope so;give them their due. Bev Harris
