Reporter's Notebook: Ohioans 'Determined' to Vote in Historic Election

By Larisa Epatko on November 4, 2008

This year’s history-making election brought out Ohio voters in droves, in some cases well before polling stations opened, reported WOSU-Columbus’ Sam Hendren.

Some people were worried that they would be stuck in long lines, but everything appeared to be running smoothly, according to Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, said Hendren.

“People were concerned personally that they have a big stake in this election, and they wanted to make sure that their vote counts,” he added.
