Elvis on Film Festivals
In his conversation with Hinojosa, Mitchell encourages our audience to visit their local film festivals. "You can go see a movie and not know from the trailer how it's going to end, and not know who's in it ... Go and avail yourself. It's what movies are supposed to be," he said.

Film critic Elvis Mitchell hosts public radio's show "The Treatment" and is the entertainment critic of NPR's "Weekend Edition." He was previously a film critic for The New York Times, as well as the Fort-Worth Star Telegram, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and The Detroit Free Press.
Mitchell has also been the host of "Independent Focus," a program on the Independent Film Channel, and has appeared regularly on a number of other TV and radio programs. A graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Mitchell has also written on film for Rolling Stone, GQ and Interview magazines.
