Mostly the elders, the women who are the backbone of the matriarchal society that the Navajos have, I think their belief is that they’d rather die on the land than be relocated to a strange place than suffer the consequences of not being able to identify with the land.

Poster: Liz Gallagher Caption: Why is it that the rights of the people are negotiable?
Poster: Patricia Kamath Caption: Haven't we done enough to these people?
Poster: Carol Rohr Caption: We will not be moved!
Poster: zane Caption: Inhumanity continues against BlackMesa Natives through the big business of United States government policy,,, who's greed and deceptive laws take priority over constitutional and ethical obligations.. It's government rules by force because it can't rule in it's disrespect for the population... Where the rule of law is firstly a tool for corporate theivery and political manipulation through disenfranchisement...
Poster: Mary Hartup Caption: Our Flag Does Not Belong to Everyone in America
Poster: Renee Ober Caption: Have we forgotten who lived here first?
Poster: Leigh Kakos Caption: I think of the sad irony that indigenous poeples of this continent should be seen holding the same flag that was the symbol of desecration, plunder, and subjugation of Thier nations. I am proud to be an American, but we have a shameful past to face, and live up to as a nation. Doing this could eventually help us do true honor to our standing among the nations of the world. And possibly lead to guiding principles, more noble and just, both at home and abroad.
Poster: Laura R. Caption: The Najavo People are representing themselves as the true peoples of North America as they are, and forever will be, no matter where we put them. This image is truely worth a thousand words. The contrast between the women defending their right to stay on their land, and the police representing the power and history of our government.
Poster: John Zimmerman Caption: What has the nation come to? Here, we see people of color vs people of color...over nature's resources.
Poster: Daryl Caption: We look abroad to find terrorist in order to not see the terrorist that we has become hiding behind a badge, a corporation, a party or through our own lack of action.
Poster: Roberta Roberts Caption: Rape of the Land /Rape of the Native People, again. When will justice, truth, our founding principals , protection of our environment and land overcome GREED and the almighty dollar?
Poster: bilmeek Caption: Peaceable confrontation brought some freedom to India. It could eventually bring peace to its borders, just as it can bring mutual respect to the races in America.
Poster: neil p johnsen Caption: Could this be history repeating itself?
Poster: Buba Caption: How far back will we push them? The palestinians of the Americas.
Poster: Jigme Dadul Caption: American Hypocrisy at its best!!!
Poster: John A. Hewlett Caption: If any of these men in blue are Navajo their traitors to their people. This is not order this oppression. Had can these cops look at themselves in the mirror. North America will eventually loose it's freedom if we permit these kinds of things to continue. Politics is corrupt and flourishing everywhere especially here in Canada. The last poster Daryl hit's the nail on the head.
