Petroglyph outside Orabi. This is a very stylized bearprint. People entering from the west where that image is would know if you knew the language, and it is a language, that you are entering the domain of the Bear Clan. The Bear Clan were the leaders of the great Navajo migration, and are the most important, clan leaders now, in our time.

Poster: Wayne Clymer Caption: My first impression was that we are not the first humans to approach this rock. Others came before us. Others who had something to comunicate. Something that they felt important. Since the message was created with minimum change to the rock surface, I concluded that it was more functional than artistic. After reading the existing caption, I still think that. Functional, but important at the time and intended to be permanent. The age of marking and the message it still sends, makes it important to preserve.
Poster: Jan Volpe Caption: Our stories circle us. Our stories cycle through us and connect us all to the great mystery.
Poster: randi kearvell Caption: man's love and fundamental respect for nature is endangered but it springs eternal and will endure in old and new forms
