The Medicare Part D — Prescription Drug Plan — has come into effect. Many seniors have questions about the plan that need to be answered soon. In fact, if you sign up after May 15, 2006, there could be a penalty of 1 percent of the monthly premium added for each month you delay in signing up. Also, you might need to think ahead — the number of prescriptions you need now may not be the same as you get older.
