About the Series: Staff Profile
Name: Jennie AmiasPosition: Producer Most memorable experience at NOW: Covering the Republican Convention last September. We were in the room when Sarah Palin electrified the GOP crowd. Guilty pleasure: Real Housewives of Orange County! In the past: I've been lucky enough to work on a good variety of projects: Just before coming to NOW in February of 2007 I produced the feature documentary "No End in Sight" on the war in Iraq. Prior to that I worked on a "Smoking Gun TV" special for Court TV. I've worked on other feature docs: "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" as well as "The Trials of Henry Kissinger" and co-produced two programs for the PBS show "American Masters"—on Henry Luce and Judy Garland. Favorite NOW shows: This show highlighted a tradition that has ruined the lives of countless young girls and women across the world, but also brought hope that a better future lies ahead for them. One solution to the issue of homelessness: give the homeless homes. A solution that seems almost too logical to be true. It was fascinating to follow one man's journey from homelessness to householder. Focused on the amazing dedication and tough working conditions of nurses. |
