About the Series: Staff ProfileName: Jennie Amias
Most memorable experience at NOW: Covering the Republican Convention last September. We were in the room when Sarah Palin electrified the GOP crowd.
Guilty pleasure: Real Housewives of Orange County!
In the past: I've been lucky enough to work on a good variety of projects: Just before coming to NOW in February of 2007 I produced the feature documentary "No End in Sight" on the war in Iraq. Prior to that I worked on a "Smoking Gun TV" special for Court TV. I've worked on other feature docs: "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" as well as "The Trials of Henry Kissinger" and co-produced two programs for the PBS show "American Masters"—on Henry Luce and Judy Garland.

This show highlighted a tradition that has ruined the lives of countless young girls and women across the world, but also brought hope that a better future lies ahead for them.
