Ariel Bass has joined the Odyssey after graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. During her undergraduate program , Ariel focused in Environmental Science.
While in attendance at College of the Atlantic, Ariel worked for Allied Whale, a non profit organization that is involved in humpback and finback research. Before arriving in Papau New Guinea, Ariel was studying the biochemistry of harbor seals: Phoca vitulina. In addition to her marine mammal studies, she has also worked with the Student Conservation Association and studied with the Audubon Expedition Institute, a college degree program sponsored by the Audubon Society.
