Betsy is a veterinarian based in Lincoln, MA. She graduated from the Tufts School of Veterinarian Medicine in 1985. Iain Kerr, a client and friend, asked her to join as science manager in the Seychelles - she jumped at the chance!

She is married to Rollin Johnson and has three sons, Ben, Chip and Peter (who has also served as "cabin boy" on the Odyssey in the Seychelles) Having grown up on a sailboat being on the Odyssey combines her love of sailing, experience in a research laboratory, as well as deep interest in whales and their conservation. Betsy looks forward to flying home soon as she really misses her dogs.
