The UP heavily promoted the red and white canyons of Zion. Vivid descriptions spoke of "fairy cities in painted stone" and "a colorful kingdom of scenic splendor." The Park's main road through Zion Canyon passes formations with equally colorful names, such as Weeping Rock, and the Temple of Sinawava.
