Caprial: My comfort food would be homemade bread. The action of making the bread helps me to slow down. I love how much my family goes on about how good it smells when cooking and how much they enjoy eating the bread when we sit down to dinner together as a family.

John: A comfort food is about sharing food with others. One night, I made stew and polenta. My daughter was sick and we had dinner in the den, which was special for the kids. It’s about talking and communicating and sharing a meal that’s special—realizing what’s important in life.
