Waters stresses that a successful lunch-based curriculum would need to start in kindergarten and continue through high school, and it won’t come cheap. She says we don’t have any choice but to fund such a curriculum, given today’s obesity crisis and children’s lack of food education at home. But, she concedes, “every little seed that’s planted is a good thing.” |
