Tinky Winky reading

What You'll Need:

  • A large piece of cardboard
  • Paper
  • Crayons
  • Glue
  • String

How to Play:

Parental supervision is required for this activity.

  1. Fold a large piece of light cardboard in half for the cover.
  2. Cover it with construction paper.
  3. Draw a picture of a birthday party or the birthday child's name and birth date on the cover. The guests at the party can make their own cover with images of the birthday party.
  4. Inside, staple or glue pages with photos or drawings of things that they do at the party, favorite games, favorite party food, the birthday cake and the entire group of friends.
  5. You can also place the pages inside the book and punch holes at the seam and thread a bit of string or colored yarn through to hold the pages inside.

You'll be amazed at how quickly this becomes a favorite book about the party.
