Materials:

  • favorite doodles, cut-out paper patterns, photos
  • scissors
  • brush
  • wax paper
  • 1 recipe of sugar-glue
    • 1 packer unflavored gelatin
    • 1 Tbsp warm water
    • 3 1/2 Tbsp boiling water
    • 1/2 tsp corn syrup
    • 1/2 tsp flavored extract (orange, peppermint, lemon, etc.)

Instructions

    1. To begin, find doodles or images or photos you would like to make into stickers. Cut them down, if needed. Then, lay them face down on a piece of wax paper.
    2. In a small bowl, sprinkle the 1 packet of unflavored gelatin over 1 tablespoon warm water. Set it aside until the gelatin softens. Have an adult boil 3 1/2 tablespoons of water in the microwave and then add it to softened gelatin, stirring as they pour to fully incorporate it. Stir it together until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Finally, add the corn syrup and extract and mix thoroughly.homemade-stickers 1
    3. Brush the glue mix onto the backside of the images on the wax paper, making sure to cover it completely. Allow the glue to fully dry. Leftover glue will solidify. To reuse, nuke in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. Also, clean brush with soap and water.homemade-stickers 2
    4. To use, lick the backside and then adhere to paper.homemade-stickers 3
