These paper rockets will zoom in front of your nose, chase you around the house and ultimately get lost behind furniture! The best part? All you need is a few household ingredients to keep your kids busy for hours!


  • paper
  • markers, crayons, or whatever else you choose to decorate the rockets with
  • glue
  • clear tape
  • one plastic straw


  1. stepsDecorate your paper.

  2. Put glue on one of the longer edges. Then role the paper around a pencil, starting from the opposite side, and press the glued edge down to form a tube. When dry, pull the tube off the pencil.

  3. Close the top of the rocket with tape.

  4. Insert a plastic straw into the open end, and you are ready to go.
