Meet the Characters

Daniel TigerDaniel Tiger’s Neighborhood tells its stories from a preschooler’s-eye view of the world. The star of the series is Daniel Tiger, the shy young son of Fred Rogers’ much-loved puppet of the same name, who has grown up, married Mom Tiger, and now lives on Jungle Beach. “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” as young Daniel zips up his little red sweater and invites viewers for a ride on the Neighborhood Trolley. Daniel Tiger is the best friend a preschooler could ever have! Each day, Daniel invites the home viewer to a different place in the Neighborhood where he plays and learns with his friends.

Owl & KaterinaO the Owl and Katerina Kittycat live in the Tree. O lives with his Uncle X, and both owls like everything to be ‘just so’, loving structure and rules. Still, O’s natural curiosity ensures that he’s always on the lookout for something new and “nifty galifty” to learn. O loves to read, and has a book for every occasion! O’s neighbor Katerina lives in the treehouse with her mom, Henrietta Pussycat. Katerina loves playing dress up and pretend, but ballet is her favorite thing to do. She twirls to mark any and all occasions! A caring friend to all the neighborhood children, Katerina wants everyone to have fun.

King FridayThe royal family, headed by King Friday, live in the castle. Daniel often visits to play with his royal friend Prince Wednesday, the youngest in his family. Prince Wednesday loves to make his friends laugh, and can somersault into a room, show off a new magic trick, or juggle, all with a mischievous smile on his face!

Miss ElainaMiss Elaina lives in the Museum-Go-Round with her eccentric parents Lady Elaine Fairchilde and Music Man Stan, who runs the neighborhood music shop. Their daughter enjoys doing things backwards, doing things her way and inventing new games for everyone to play. Miss Elaina has a big heart, and a great sense of humor!
