Accommodating Special Diets

Fizzy's Lunch LabHi there, it’s Professor Fizzy again! At the Lunch Lab, we make it our mission to develop tasty and nutritious meals, and among most healthful kinds of meals are vegetarian dishes. As an added bonus, vegetarian dishes are often good solutions for people with allergies to ingredients like seafood!

Kids can be finicky, and our critic Nelly Nitpick is no exception. Fortunately, the Lunch Lab gang pulled together a handful of recipes that are tasty, familiar and vegetarian to please Nelly’s discerning palate. Maybe they’ll work for your family too!

If your kids are reluctant to try these dishes, you can do what we do at the Lunch Lab:

  • Give foods fun names—broccoli can become “elf trees.”
  • Get kids involved in the preparation—being responsible for making a food can encourage them to try new things.
