Media Glossary: IM & TXT Lexicon

Because of their rapid-fire and concise nature, instant messages (IM) and text messages (TXT) often include abbreviations and quick slang. Although some of these may seem self-explanatory (eg., cu = see you, and l8 = late) others are not. Here is a list of frequently used IM and TXT abbreviations.:
