On festive occasions like Holidays or Birthdays it was traditional for my Mom to prepare a delicious chocolate wafer tort which she called “Peshinger.” This very simple dessert consisted of store bought rectangular or circular wafers, German sweet chocolate which was spiked with Rum and Vanilla and pressed between the layers of wafers and later used to make a chocolate gnash for the top of the wafer tort. My Mom loved making Peshinger because it brought the Family together.
I truly love strawberries. I have a collection of cookbooks. I would love to have this one also. I would love to try out a bunch of the recipes.
