What’s your favorite cooking project to do with your kids, or which one do you hope to try this summer?
Recipe: Homemade Pita Chips
Homemade baked pita chips taste even better than the ones we buy in a bag and are fun to make with the kids.
2 - 3 pita pockets, whole wheat or white
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. kosher salt (optional)
Hummus, tzatziki, guacamole or other dip for serving
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut the pita pockets in half, separating the tops from the bottoms, and cut each top and bottom into about 6 triangular wedges (like a pizza). In a medium bowl, toss the pita with the olive oil and the salt (optional). Lay the pita wedges on a large baking sheet and bake them for 10 - 12 minutes until they start to brown.
