Mariela Páez
Mariela Páez is Associate Professor at the Lynch School of Education, Boston College and holds a doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. Her primary research interests include bilingualism, literacy development, children's early language and literacy learning, and early childhood education. She is the author of numerous articles and is also co-editor of Latinos: Remaking America (with Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, 2002). Mariela is a member of the National English Language Learners Literacy Research Committee (2007) and the Roundtable on Supporting Positive Language and Literacy Outcomes for Young Language Minority Children (2008).
