What are the lyrics for the Martha Speaks theme song?
Martha was an average dog. She went —
Bark. And— Woof. And— Arrr.
But when she ate some alphabet soup, then what happened was bizarre.
On the way to Martha's stomach, the letters lost their way. They travelled to her brain and now—
She's got a lot to say. Now she speaks.
How now brown cow?
Martha Speaks. Yeah, she speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks...
What's a caboose? When are we eating again?
Hey Joe, what d'ya know!
My name's not Joe.
She's not always right but still that Martha speaks.
She's got a voice; she's ready to shout. Martha will tell you what it's all about. Sometimes wrong, but seldom in doubt. Martha will tell you what it's all about. That dog's unique...
Testing, one, two!
Hear her speak! Martha Speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks and...
Communicates, enumerates, elucidates, exaggerates, indicates, and explicates, bloviates, and overstates and (pant, pant, pant) hyperventilates!
Martha...to reiterate, Martha speaks!
Who does the voices for the Martha Speaks series?

Yes, Martha was a real dog - she belonged to Susan Meddaugh, the author of the Martha Speaks book series.
What kind of dog is Martha?
Martha is a mutt — she's a mix of different breeds.
How can Martha speak English? My dog only barks.
When Martha eats alphabet soup, the letters go up to her brain and she can talk! However, it doesn't work with other dogs, so we don't recommend feeding your dog alphabet soup. It would probably just make a big mess.
How is the TV show made?
WGBH/Boston and Studio B Productions (in Vancouver, Canada) produce the TV show. Susan Meddaugh works along with them as a creative producer, reviewing all the scripts and the designs to make sure Martha stays true to her vision. The scripts are written with great care by a team of writers, edited through four drafts, and then animation artists in Canada turn them into cartoons. Voice actors record the characters' lines from the scripts, and the animators match the pictures they draw to the voices. Every show includes Closed Captions and descriptions for viewers who may have trouble hearing or seeing.
